This is a library problem: kde libraries has a version and pykde expect another
version. kde and pykde should be consistent.
This happens usually with alpha/beta/rc releases. There is nothing that can be
done on BIT side.

display them different.
KDE version on the other hand display them italic.
I agree that Gnome version should display them italic too.
Even more, if the link is broken it should display it different too.

In current release version (0.9.26) the script run:
python ${APP_PATH}/app.py "$*" which does not handle spaces correctly
Now it runs:
python ${APP_PATH}/app.py "$@"

BIT only backup files/folders as they are. If it read them decrypted it will
backup them decrypted. If it read them encrypted it will backup the encrypted.
But nothing stops you to have an encrypted file system on your NAS server.

I confirm, the bug is valid. Your procedure prove it.
rsync has the option " --delete-excluded" to remove excluded files. This can
fix the bug but it can disable schedule per include directory (or it need to be
redesigned).

my Vidéos folder is backed up although it is excluded.

Well these are the best bugs off course: ghost bugs that just fix themselves
But this bug is still valid as I found a way to create ghost files in your
snapshots as I described above...

When you select an item (file or folder) you can see all snapshots
where it exists. From this dialog you can make a diff between different
snapshots (including 'Now'). By default Gnome version use "meld" which
is able to make a diff between folders too.
