at Whites and Finch in Pickering. Could mean a breeding pair are nesting

Today was cool with north winds but once on the trail from the visitor ctr
quite pleasant. Had numerous GC&RC Kinglets several Horned Grebe on the
east side of the tip & Mergansers on the west side. Several Pine Warbler, a
few Yellow Rumped Warbler & 1 Audubon Yellow Rumped Warbler. I also had 1
Bird located by many, notified by Jeremy Hatt.
Directions Mersea Rd 1 turns to dirt and dead end. Bird seen on south side
in mud flats and low water foraging.

Seen today a very cooperative Worm eating Warbler, Black billed Cookoo,
Connecticut Warbler, Ovenbird a peek a boo red morph Screech Owl +
numerous others plus nesting Prothonatary Warbler on the Woodland trail.
All in all a great day even though it lightly snowed at one time.

Once again I left HBMO at 1:pm with nary a BW to be seen. Went to
Amerstburg for cheap gas and BW'S were coming down from the north and

I have had a few questions about my post. For those who aren't familiar
with this area HBMO stands for Holiday Beach Migration Observatory. It's on
the north shore of Lake Erie between Harrow and Amherstburg Ontario. I know
it's not a rare bird report but at this time of year they are an eccepted

At Holiday Beach Migration Observatory Amherstburg Ontario we had a
Peregrine Falcon knock a Blue Jay down into the pond by the tower. It made
several swoops and on the fifth attempt it was successful in capturing its
prey. Quite a display of its hunting techniques.

Today November 2nd 2016 the 3 Cattle Egrets were still in the cattle
pasture at 6862 county road #50 just north of Holiday Beach Conservation
Area. They are on the west side near the back of the pasture. Time 10:30am.

the Happy Snapper restaurant and just north of the bridge over Sturgeon

Today at 2:15 the bird was still present after a week on site. It takes
time to find it amongst the 6 -7000+ black birds. Please be aware that the
parking lot is covered in ice so be careful with your optics. The bird is
hanging out at the grain elevator on Arner Road just up from hwy

I had a very brief look at a fairly fast moving Raptor flying SSW over the
Sparrow field this morning at roughly 9:45am. Not a positive ID but it had
all the right characteristics of a Mississippi Kite. Best err on the side
of caution but keep an eye open along the lake shore areas

My wife Diana and I had 3 W/Pelicans low over Lake Erie flying n/w towards
the islands. Seen from West beach parking area. The Wood Stork was seen
high above us on the trolley road near the halfway point. Bird was circling
above us and headed in no particular direction. Should be staying a
