Pelee Island until May

the Pelee Island Bird Observatory. The female Harlequin Duck is also still
kicking around Lighthouse Point. Other interesting firsts of the year include
Gray-cheeked Thrush, Magnolia, Chestnut-sided Warblers and Ovenbird and
Bobolink.

Northern Goshawk - two different individuals were seen on June 4th and 5th
Duck sp. (Black Scoter?) - a flock of 10 birds too far out on the large
reservoir were seen on June 4th. They were most likely Black Scoters.

This past weekend (Sat, Sun & Mon) Mira Furgoch and I were on Opeongo lake -
Algonquin park.
Bird sightings include:
Pileated Woodpecker, 1 adult BALD EAGLE, 2 Belted Kingfishers, a few Common
Ravens, 2 Barn Swallows, 1 White-crowned Sp
Solitary Sandpipers and
1 Short-billed Dowitcher. These lagoons should be excellent in the coming weeks.
