We had a Tufted Titmouse at Darlington PP during the Toronto Ornithological
Club's Second Marsh excursion around noon today. It was calling invariably
"Peter-Peter" fairly regularly, and usually from a good height. Initially it
was at the SW corner of the park in the picnic

Kai Milyard just let me know about a frigatebird that he saw flying south by
the shore at Pinery Provincial Park. From his description it sounds like it was
a female-type or subadult with some definite white on the undersides. It was
flying with some gulls and as such it wa

At 9:30 this morning during the Charitable Big Day of Birding we saw and
photographed a Nelson's Sparrow at the SE corner of Ward's Island, in the
brushy area with horsetails and little birches. I thought this was fairly early
for Toronto and am posting this for interest.
Good birding!

Hi everyone:
The male blackbird is still around now. Jon Ruddy and I just re-found him as he
flew in and landed in the treetops by the houses across the green from the
wetland where he had been spotted feeding earlier today and yesterday. He is
not singing right now.
Happy birding!

turnaround parking area.
Happy birding!

Hi folks,
I just heard a crow call three times, twice while it was stationary, once while
apparently flying. The sound was coming from the area east of the Tilden Woods

note suggestive of that species and unlike the Am
The bird has since flown to the south and was last reported in the budding
willows far south of the Marsh Boardwalk, potentially visible from the first
stretch of the boardwalk itself. It is NOT currently visible.
Hopefully others will provide updates.
