Hi Randy, I've not used the docker images or "geoip-directory", but the error message you found sounds like support for this is a compile time option that was not enabled. Perhaps check your configuration. Does it contain "geoip-directory"? Do you need this support? If not, I suggest disabling

I've been using the Docker image of v9.20 from https://hub.docker.com/r/internetsystemsconsortium/bind9 as a base image for quite some time, with no issues. However when I use the most recent image (~6/18/25), named fails to start (no error message given). I tried upping the debug level with -d
