I saw many people use CgyWin for unix shell emulator, maybe you can try it.
For me I use VMWare on my WinXP to run linux and Perl.

Thanks for your reply. I am now installing and using Modules in perl.
The Spreadsheet::WriteExcel only writes to a new excel file.
Does anyone know of a way to write to an exist file and worksheet?

I've removed the dependency from the .ppd file, could you try
Thanks! Now I have another problem.
Is there a ppm repository for File-DosGlob or do I need to figure out how to

It means that PPM did not find the right version of the module for

Sorry I forgot to up
According to the ActiveState docs I have, the environment variables you need
to set are:
HTTP_proxy
HTTP_proxy_user
HTTP_proxy_pass
For instance:
HTTP_proxy=http://proxy.yourdomain.com:portnumber
HTTP_proxy_user=youruserid
HTTP_proxy_pass=yourpassword
HTH.

ppm should use the standard http port 80, so whatever works on your web
browser should work for ppm.

Dear List,
I have installed the required module using PPM(Perl
Package Manager) and never had any problem for the
past 3 weeks. I didn't even bother to install using
the manual way until I had to update the latest
version of WWW-SEARCH 2.23. I can't seem to verify and
upgrade it using PPM, why i
just type ppm from the comand prompt
