It works with 5.8.0 under Red Hat 9.0, but not 5.8.0 running under Red Hat
8.0. Are there any workarounds or fixes for this?

scripts always show as:
"/usr/bin/perl ./scriptname.pl"
Is there any way to modify this so that it appears differently? I'd like to
be able to hide as much as possible.

Oh, there's your problem. Put the system command in quotes, not backticks.
Backticks are a special quote-like operator that runs the command in as if
it was run on the command-line and then passes the results back. So you
would use backticks like this:

service logs on as the user, it is not an interactive logon, so I'm not sure
if the drive mappings will be available. The same goes for the

If you use the unc path, most of these problems dissapear. Also, the
account you're running the script as needs permission to access the
share in question.

1. The "current directory" when running a CGI isn't always the same when
