What version of Fava are you using? I just tried setting *option
"account_current_earnings" "Equity:Gewinnvortrag"* in my beancount file,
using Fava 1.30.1, and beancount 3.1.0, and it appears to work as
intended. I get Equity:Gewinnvortrag under fava, instead of Equity:Current.
What does it
I tried using using beanquery with Fava, and wasn't able to get anywhere
about 4 months ago. I'm not much of a programmer, but Fava appears to be
pretty tightly coupled to V2's beanquery interface, and would need some
decent reworking to use the seperated out beanquery of V3. Unfortunately,
It doesn't look like Fava is doing any sort of conditional line breaks. It
appears to just be a styling issue from the CSS applied to the journal
table.
In 'frontend/css/journal-table.css', line 120 sets the width of the journal
number cells to 9rem: '.journal p > .num { width: 9rem;}'. Chan
This is something that I've been refining my approach to over the last few
years as I learn beancount, and generally get my personal and business
finances in order.
Boring background:
In addition to our personal finances, I have a business that
transitioned from a sole proprietorship
Thank you! This looks like a really neat framework to get finance data
into an easily digestible format. I'm still in the early stages of trying
to implement some sort of monthly "state of our finances" report I can send
to or share with my wife. (She's not a nerd, and doesn't need or care
Peter,
I don't have any experience with the issues you're dealing with, but I
can't help but notice this line in your output: "Tolerances: XRP=0.0005"
That sure looks like Beancount is using less than your provided 8
significant digits. Why, or how to fix it, I don't know. Can you add
I don't have any immediate help, but was wondering if you could give an
example of where it's being represented as a decimal? What do the opening
/ initialization lines look like for your new account? (vs the old one?)
