I think you are using FC4, then in your package list of the installer CD
there is a package called "scim" , you need to install that package. I never
tried this. :(

Debian, Suse, Mandriva, Ubuntu, Kubuntu or any other you have Gnome & KDE
dekstop, there not only you can write Bengali, but also gui interface is in
Bengali.
