I'm a novice Linux user.i run on RedHat 9 with kernel 2.4... but today
i tried to recompile my kernel with 2.6.. but the fact is im able to
recompile it but cant load any module. I think there are some problem
in "rc.sysinit" file or some init file but cant fix it.. also tried to
find solution in n

Not a solution for the "can't paste" problem (are you using xfree or
x.org? gnome or kde? just saying 'slackware' is not enough), but you
should check out YPOPs (http://www.ypopsemail.com) which lets you use
normal email clients like thunderbird to send/receive Yahoo mail.

2.6 uses new module loading tools than kernel 2.4
You need to install the module-init-tools package. That is what I had
to do when upgrading to 2.6 on Debian.

I've been using CentOS for few days, and to my experience, RHEL4 and
CentOS4 are almost identical. It is very stable so far and I'd
recommend to go for it.
