databases? Any input to this upgrade path would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Ted

Hi,
I have an issue when trying a restore of a large data set consisting of about
6.5TB and 35,000,000 files the console takes an extremely long time to build
the directory tree, over an hr. After the tree is built I typed "mark *" and
this command ran for about 18 hours before I hit ctrl-c; th
I have the GUI installed and get the famous DB:Error: no such database
Using the config prams 'mysql -hlocalhost -uroot -pmypass bacula Works fine.
Using RHEL3
Mysql 4.1.12
Bacula 1.38.2
The web test.php shows all fine..
Where do I look?
Thanks

Is a possible to restore files with no directory path information? If so
how?
i.e. original file location server1:/dirroot/dir1/dir2/filename1
I just want to restore filename1 to server2:/dirroot (or other directory).

Sorry if this was a repeat message.
We are backing up to HD right now. The problems is we need at least 400Gb of
backup space.
Can someone point me to where it explain how to mount more that one
FileStorage device?
example/backup1 and /backup2 and so on.

We are backing up to FileStorage right now.
I saw a reference in the docs that said you could have more that one
directory. I cannot find out how to do this in bacula-sd.
I have 5 NSF mounts of 100 gig each.
Any ideas or pointers to the docs.
Thanks

I also backup our large DB2 DB with text dumps (and them gzip them).
Quicker than I thought it would be. Used to be the only way to backup an
I had similar results with 1.36.3, but I just needed to have mtx take my
drive offline before ejecting it (otherwise it did not eject, and only
labeled the first tape).

All the advantages of Linux Managed Hostin
scheduled daily backups (I'd rather not have
to bextract every job afterwards).
I have another day-ish of this job running (hey, its 4TB of usb-attached
storage going into the vault, no speed records to be broken), so any
thoughts would be appreciated.
Regards,
Ted.

This email has

to have time to attend to other chores.
To be honest, I don't recall ever having looked at the catalog tables
until after jobs.
Cheers,
Ted.
