Hi all,
We are moving to Bacula from Amanda and so far it looks very good, nice
piece of work!
One thing I miss is the ability to create a printed report automatically
after a backup job is completed, a summary of what's been done.
With Amanda, we created a pdf file containing the hosts, size and

Hi,
I just upgraded our bacula-server from 1.3.8 to version 2.2.0 using
portupgrade.
Now bacula-dir fails to start:
Could not open pid file. /var/run/bacula-dir.9101.pid ERR=Permission denied
I assume it tries to start as the "bacula" user, but

So,
What did I do wrong here?
I upgraded bacula from 2.0.3 to 2.2.0, FreeBSD 6.
Yesterdays nightly job failed big time, each backup failed with
16-Aug 21:46 candyman-sd: Volume "UNW259L2" previously written, moving
to end of data.
16-Aug 21:47 candyman-sd: mars.2007-08-16_21.30.02 Error: Bacula

Since upgrading to 2.2.0 bsmtp sets the wrong Date: header in the mail:
Date: Sat, 18 Aug 2007 01:48:56 + (CEST)
For the recipient the above message appears to have been receieved at
03:48, two hours ahead.
The correct timezone is UTC +2, the above header should have read
Date: Sat, 18 Aug 2

Hi,
After moving from 2.4 to 3.0, our Nagios system complains "Unknown
response" or somesuch.
At appears that the response from FD has changed between bacula versions
here, is that intentional?
Was: 2000 OK Hello
Is: 2000 OK Hello 1
Could someone shed a little light here?
Thanks,

Hello,
As stated in the subject, how can one get two (identical) changers work
together seamlessly in the same pool so when one has its tapes filled up
the next will continue without intervention?
Thanks,

C
enough for me.
And, changers are mechanical devices that sometimes break, having two
means you can loose one and still do your job.
