Yes, I have.
However, I don't use automount, I just let bacula mount the snapshot, do
the backup and unmount/delete it. This is achieved via "Client Run
Before Job" and "Client Run After Job".

Puh... I wouldn't do this (partly due to the problems you encounter).
Simpler, IMO, is to set up a run before job that creates and mounts
the snapshot, and a run after job that removes it.
