I don´t know but if you have a short file retention period and
"AutoPrune" set to yes than the fileentries should be dropped at least
from the databa
Thanks for the info.
Would this be due to the fact that the file retention period is 30 days +
incremental saves only since the (only) full backup 2 months ago ?
Did the full backup get purged ?
If so, does this mean I have to get a full backup done on a regular basis ?

I don't quite understand... I'm still slightly newbie :o)
Quote from the bacula site

I only see 800 files... a lot less than the full directory ! The client is also
Linux based and no changes have been made in the directory structure.

Hello
We are using bacula for the first time in restoration mode : bacula
version 2.03 / platform fedora core 6. Bacula has been running w/o save
errors for 2 months.
A test user has asked us to restore an entire directory = what it
contained last friday.
If I go through the restore process (
I am not offended and that was the problem.
Thanks,

this folder is owned by root. Now the folder that sd
should write the restore to is owned by bacula while
/var/bacula is owned by root. I was thinking that dir
writes the log while sd writes the restore. That is my
mistake.
Thanks a lot,

Please
I get the error below for every OS that I try to
restore. I have read the manual. I saw the same
question asked on this list several times still no
answer. I am not sure what else to do. I am using the
configuration that bacula came with. I can backup
just fine. I can see the files in the cata
