I'm running bacula 2.2.8 on an amd64 server with Solaris 10 (thank you CSW).
I can use the SCSI-attached HP Ultrium LTO2 drive with tar, mt, etc, without
any problems. Also, bacula's btape utility tests the tape successfully:
# btape -v -c ./bacula-sd.conf /dev/rmt/0bn

I have a Dell Powervault 124T and I believe a Certance Tape drive (LTO-2), the
Server is running Gentoo with Kernel 2.6.29-gentoo-r5 and Bacula 2.4.1-r1.

First, these problems are not normally fatal, but I wouldn't run my tape drive
like that.
