Sorry for the confusion - problem solved.
It seems that bacula does automagically detects the presence of
linuxthreads and compiles it in - after removing them all went fine...
nevertheless, i think there should be some knob in the freebsd ports
configuration to have this enabled/disabled on purp

I just took the time to upgrade my bacula installation to the current
2.0.1 version, but unfortunatly it doesn't work anymore now:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~ # /usr/local/sbin/bacula-dir -u bacula -g bacula -v -c
/usr/local/etc/bacula-dir.conf
Bus error: 10 (core dumped)
I upgraded my 6.1-RE
