According to the specs presented in http://www.tape-library.com/quantum/sdlt-600.htm, your tapes can store 300 GB native and *up to* 600 GB compressed. I am using SDLT600 tapes and that is suppose to fit 600GB compressed. It seems it is unevenly filling up. Some tapes are as low as 136Gb and some are 456GB to 594GB. I am using disk spool first then to tape. So why is this difference? Arunav. -
