Dear Uwe,
This in fact did work. I had to remove the volumes I no longer
wanted to retain, that were over the Max Volumes I set for the pool,
then the Max Volumes finally updated after stopping, restarting Bacula

I see that you do. I do not think that reducing a pool containing more
volumes than the new max will have any effect until you manually
remove volumes.

I edited the config and changed "Maximum Volumes = 3". I then reloaded
and updated the Pools from Resource. It says it
