I think I have understood wrong when I translate from english to Italian
File and job retention are use to destroy the data, but if Volume have
retention period less than them purge the catalog too!!
Now I had used a dump to restore the DB and bscan to add the new volumes
2010/8/10 Carlo Fili
Ther's something wrong!
I have changed the retention on Client:
*Client {
Name = db-fd
Password = Passxxx
Address = db
FDPort = 9102
Catalog = MyCatalog
File Retention = 6 days
Job Retention = 6 days
}
*
I have this log today:
*09-Aug 20:00 storage-dir JobId 9020: Begin pruning Job
> so I can put it on '6 days'??
>

Hi all,
I have a question..
I have 3 different Pools,
- daily
- weekly
- monthly
The daily have 6 days of "VolumeRetention", and the volume will be recicled
correctly, but at the and of every Job in the log I can read:
*08-ago 05:44 bacula-dir JobId 3288: Begin pruning Jobs older than 6 months
