i am using bacula 5.0.1-1ubuntu1 on Ubuntu LTS 10 and so far, everything's
running fine.
Now, i want to try out bare-metal desaster recovery with bacula-recovery.
Therefor I downloaded the bacula-5.0.3 and bacula-rescue-5.0.2 and followed
the guide

I've figured out that those files are created during the configure process.
However they are removed during the "Cleaning up" portion of the configure
script.

I have figured out why it's happening but i have no idea where along the
process where this should happen.
in the in the source directory under platforms/slackware i have the
following files.
Makefile
Makefile.in
functions.bacula
functions.bacula.in
local-install.sh*
rc.bacula-dir.in
rc.bacula-fd
I am compiling bacula for a package and am using DESTDIR. I am running
Slackware 12.1 kernel 2.6.24.5. Here’s my error:

I solved the compilation problem my self. I triad to compile bacula with
support for MySql AND PostgreSql which is not possible. You can have only one
Database backend. My solution was to compile bacula twice with different
prefixes, so that I can install bacula twice not compromise each o

I suspect that the documentation failed to mention this, but on Linux type
systems, which include MacOSX, you must now build with the ANSI wxWidgets 2.6
or greater. I am currently using 2.6.0 here.
