You didn't mention which version of Bacula you are using. I seem to recall
that this was just a problem of incorrectly printing the slot number.
More recent versions of Bacula (2.0.x) print the details of why the script
failed, which makes debugging these problems easier.

Hello, I had a strange problem this Saturday night on an LTO library.
Bacula was in a consistent state, after the Friday nightly backup.
The drive 0 was loaded with slot 4 (friday tape).
At saturday job startup, the associated volumes were correctly recycled, and
bacula started moving the tapes. A
