That is correct. Mysql did not update the loader
cache; therefore, I had to symbolic link
libmysql.so.15 to /usr/lib. I expected bacula to
remember where libmysql.so was since the path was
passet to it during installation.
Thanks for the help,

That issue might addressed by the possibility that you upgraded MySQL at
some point in past history, and either you have two MySQLs installed or
partially insta
That is true. I am going to try the versions between
1.38.6 and 1.38.8 since I was able to use 1.38.5.

Please make sure you include your OS -- I don't see it in this message.
With Solaris, the right way to add to your shlib PATH is 'crle.' I had
to do this for /usr/local/lib -- could be the same type of thing. With
Linux, I believe it's ld.conf.
Zakai
ldd says not found, but I don't know why. The
config.log says that it found it. See below.
DB_LIBS='-L/usr/local/mysql/lib/mysql -lmysqlclient
-lz'
DB_NAME='mysql'
SQL_BINDIR='/usr/local/mysql/bin'
SQL_INCLUDE='-I/usr/local/mysql/include/mysql'
SQL_LFLAGS='-L/usr/local/mysql/lib/mysql -lmysqlcli
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1
What happends if you do an ldd on bacula-dir?
