I've added the fd to the hosts.allow file on the client and now I can't even
connect via telnet where as I could before.

Pay closer attention to the /etc/hosts.allow it needs to have the fd in
there.
example if my server was monkeyman
monkeyman-fd: ALL
The tcp wrappers portion of the file daemon requires the name of the
daemon not the name of the service as in /etc/services. You can find
more info in the manual
I have an ubuntu server running the bacula-dir and bacula-sd.
I have installed the bacula-fd package from the EPEL yum repo and it installs
and starts up. I see the PID running when I do ps aucx | grep bacu*
The passwords match and I can telnet into port 9102 from the dir machine but I
