My script simply enquire device for serial of the unit, and then if not
exist create the key with:
"$STENC" -g 256 -k $kf -kd \"$pk\"
where:
kf="$KEYDIR/$HOST-$SERIA

Key is enrolled on tape drive, not on (every single) tape media.

Not quite clear what you are trying to accomplish. Stenc does load keys
to the drive, not to tapes. Please elaborate.
Sure, but if bacula-sd is ''locking'' the tape device, stenc cannon enroll
the key.
