Bacula does not recognize my Archlinux, why?
I can't see any possibility of correcting this myself, am I right?

Hello,
I have several pools in one filestorage directory.
Bacula automatically labels new media as needed with the "LabelMedia = yes"
parameter.
Count Bacula usually labelled each pools media sequentially from 1 going
upwards in steps of one.
Now with my new setup version 5.0.1 he mixes up the

I just had to restore a w2k from a partimage image, trying to make the
partition bootable
I did not work with default MBR records, it did not work with w2k rescue
tools, it only worked with the original MBR record that was restored from the
partimage image, after another 78 MB hidden partition
I'm thinking of upgrading postgress at the same time as going up to Bacula 2.
Any views on order of upgrades or any issues met?

As I understand it you can either:
1. Change your plans and copy your volumes to external HDD. Then Bacula will
overwrite and fill with new content, which you can again copy. That leaves
you with the task of keeping track of dates etc.
2. Configure volume retention times very long and configure

This was on the feature request vote last year, but did not get a top
priority. It is a pity that not so many users are interested in the ability
to make a correct restore under all (rather normal) circumstances. Also that
deleted files are always restored come under this category.

Yes, but I'm on Mandriva and the postgress setup was done by the rpm, so I
don't have experience in debugging this.
I could share some config info if that could help

Hi all,
Bacula catalog in Postgress has become corrupted it seems due to disk errors.
I can still make a backup, but cannot dump the catalog anymore.
It does write most of the catalog, but doesn't complete.
This occurs after a lot of full backups this weekend, so I am not fond of
deleting the c
I have a vague memory of a similar problem on this list about 6-8 months ago -

Hello,
I also always have this, and I find it funny that is always gives this message
only about the first volume created, what about all the other volumes - as
the rotation have carried one for some rounds, what's then the relevance of
always pruning the oldes volume?

Hi all,
I moved the disk with the backup volumes to another server - mounted the ext
volume as before.
I can see the files in the directory, but If I try to read or copy - it says
the file is not found in the directory.
I can create new files and read them allright.
Is this because the disk c

Hi all,
Have anybody succeeded in restoring to windows in that version?
Restore tree is beeing build, but listing, cd'ing or restoring fails with all
windows clients no matter which console is used for requesting the restore.
Listing just returns nothing and no errors.
CD returns the following:
