in the mean time have a look at my little script. I
called it run.sh and call it in a RunBeforeJob directive. The names of the other
scripts are its parameters.
Maybe it's useful:

my Bacula to work nicely. It backs up Full backups in ony disk file and
incremental in another. I have set the Volume Use Duration to 6 days so that I
get new files every week.

all,
version 1.38.5 seems
to hang on my machine the same way as 1.36. My machine is Ubuntu 5.10, AMD64,
mysql database.
It worked for a
while (3 hours or so), made some backups successfully and now my wx console
connects to it but nothing else (no available commands are displayed etc
set at all.
