All I can tell you is what happens when I don't use pre-printed labels. Change tapes update slots, label barcodes a random tape is not recognized do no tape change, take out magazine, reinsert tape in magazine update slots tape recognized This only happened with home made labels. Maybe I should r

FYI The old backup software, Netvault was still set to start on boot. It must have locked the drive. I disconnected the Autoloader from the server, reset it, disabled Netvault and rebooted the server. All is good, bacula and I are back together. Thanks, *Simon Tyler * | Systems Administrator

Hello again, I sort of feel like I'm spamming this mailing list so I'll keep it short: I tried the 'update volumes' command to try to manually tell bacula that the tapes were in the autochanger. The catalog was aware of all the tapes but had some of them incorrectly marked as not in autochanger.
