To me, mtx does not work on FreeBSD. One has to use chio.
For changer, I made a symlink from chio-changer to mtx-changer
/usr/local/share/bacula. Then everything works fine there. There are two
lines missing "#" on the top of the script.

Is there a script or utility I can use to verify the backup on the tape?
Does bacula support hardware compression? How well does it work generally?
If I can recover files from the first volume, does it mean the volume
and backup are ok?
