Hi,
just concluding my question. Yes! It's possible run a bscan over a
encrypted tape and recreate the Catalog for it, even if you don't have the
keys. Of Course, to do a restore you'll need such keys.
See ya!

Hi Users...
Before I try do that I would ask you if it works run a "bscan" directly
over a tape with an encrypted backup by Bacula. Would be recreated the
Catalog for that tape, assuming I don't have the bootstrap file anymore?
Thanks.

Hello Users,
I've experienced some strange problems with the "Recycling" on my Bacula.
For example, I have a pool to my Full Backups where I have one different
tape for each weekend in the month. Well, on the second week I've used
FW2-001 with Volume Retention of 27 days = 2332800 seconds and at t
entries on the
catalog are deleted too.

I use encryption with Windows 7 and it works perfectly. But I put my PKI
configuration into the FileDeamon { } directive instead the Director { }
directive. Also, I didn't need to install OpenSSL separately, I just

think that this rate (8.27 MB/s) is too much slow for such configuration.
I'd like to know how much rate you are getting using Encryption and
Compression and what I suppose to do to increase the Bacula's performance.

There's some way to make this using just the Volume Retention or I'm forced
to use "Maximun Volume Jobs" together?
Thanks

Yes John...
Now, I think that I understood perfectly and I have tested it too.
VolumeToCatalog = Compares the files in a Storage Volume with the Catalog;
DiskToCatalog = Compares the files of the File Deamon's File Set with
the Catalog;
Catalog = Like the DiskToCatalog but for
.
Just one more question for nowit seems such obvious, but, the Level
VolumeToCatalog would be when I use Tapes? Is that right?

Another thing...this type of Job is just to verify a group of file that
don't must change often. But, how about backup consistency checking, bacula
do this implicitly or I need do additional settings for this.
Thanks in advance.

I'm reading about the verification File Set options so, how I could

Hi Folks,
I have not found a way to check in wich volume is such job. If I have backed
up in many tapes and I want to know where is such job, i.e. what volume is
the job, then I could to pick up such tape and run the restore.
Thanks in advance.

Yes! This command "status client" works fine for what I wanted, but, I think
that it will be cool if Bacula calculate the estimated time based on these
information and show it with the command "status client".
Thank you everyone.

Ok, but, I would like to see a estimated time for the end of the backup or
even the transfer rate, but, if there's no way, ok.
Thanks John.

that too.
