Good Afternoon,
I decided to upgrade bacula on FreeBsd 5.4 (mysql) from 1.36? to 1.38.0
It compiled fine but it appears that my mysql database tables are out of
date. When starting the bacula daemons I get an error:
helpdesk# sh /usr/local/etc/rc.d/z-bacula.sh start

Hello,
I am running bacula henbane-dir Version: 1.36.3 (22 April 2005) on
FreeBSD 5.4 and running into a problem. The jobs get hung up due to
either DEVICE BLOCKED message and/or cannot find appendable volume
message.
I insert a new tape and format it using the mt command ( I know mt weof
shou
Hi,
What is the proper way to prepare a tape for writing with bacula? I
have always had to use the mt format command (which takes hours with my
DLT drives). There was a post here yesterday where someone had said an
weof was all you needed. I apologize for not having the reference at
hand but ,
Hello,
I'm not sure if this should be directed to the FreeBSD port maintainer
or Bacula but at any rate, I
upgraded to bacula 1.36.3 this morning and noticed that

Hello,
I'm running into a problem restoring a home directory on FreeBSD.
I am not sure what to make of the device busy message. I unmount and
remount the tape and attempt the restore again and it still fails.
Please view the message below let me know if more information is needed.
Thank you.
Thanks for the tips Dan and Karl.

Hi,
Sorry if this is somewhere in the FAQ but I searched and didn't find a
reference to this question.
How would I kick off all jobs for all clients?
I restarted my bacula server box ( FreeBSD ) and my startup script did
not work correctly. Now, I have a bunch of client jobs that I would

Thanks. I think we got it now. Ran a few jobs and it appears to be
working. I took your advice and switched the AlwaysOpen to YES.
Hi again from Texas, USA.

Hi.
We are still experimenting with bacula on freebsd and mysql database.
I have been pleased with the documentation, the mailing lists, and the
software itself but I still have one question when it comes to
consecutive jobs. Is there a way to stop the tape drive from rewinding
the tape after
