I have noticed this happen in every version I use.
Steps to reproduce.
1) forget to put the correct tape in
2) day 1 scheduled backup job attempts to run
3) day 1 scheduled CatalogBackup attempts to run
4) all day 1 job waits for tape

Hello,
Linux 2.6.x
bacula 2.2.5 patched from sourceforge
I have checked the documentation, but can not find any reference to this.
It appears a status storage is showing the wrong pool. I have never had
this before.
I have just retired some old Media (purge and delete) and added some new

version 2.2.4 patched from sourceforge
Linux kernel 2.6.x
I am running 10+ FD's, one SD, and one Director. I am having problems
with one of my FD's, the others are fine. Not sure if it makes any
difference, but the FD is on the same machine as the Director.
I have no issues with the network, I

Hello,
I have looked through the archives and the documentation, but can not find
an answer to my problem.
Using 2.2.4 (patched from sourceforge), I have the following pools
Pool {
Name = Weekly
Pool Type = Backup
Auto Prune = yes
Volume Retention = 30 days
Recycle = yes
Recycle Old
I manually set a tape to recycle using
update volume="CNIxyz" volstatus="Recycle"
This tape has been used before, it was "LastWritten" on 13th October 2007.
It was also "FirstWritten" on 13th October 2007. It has a maximum use
time of 1 day. i.e. the maximum time between First and Last written
Hello,
It would appear one of my clients has stalled.
Does anyone know how to give it a gentle kick? i.e. I do not want to
cancel it!
Many thanks in advance,
Spencer

Hello,
I am not sure if this is a bug or part of the design hence raising it here
first.
I have two jobs which start on day x, y and z
0300 job name1 priority a (high)
0605 job name2 priority b (low)
Job name1 overruns onto day y. Job name2 is still waiting for the higher
priority job name1 to

Is anyone using a Quantum Superloader 3 with Bacula? If so, do you know
how to get bacula to eject the tape from the drive to the mailslot after
the tape has been "Used" and the "Use Duration" has been passed?
mtx eject
just ejects the left carousel, and not the individual tape.
Many thanks,

I have searched through the mailing list archive but can not find the
answer in the hundreds which relate to disk spooling.
I have four linux machines setup as follows:
fd host1 version 2.0.3 (gentoo)
fd host2 version 2.2.4 (packman on debian)
dir host3 2.2.4 (packman on debian)
