Are you trying to view a log for a job run since you edited the config
file and reloaded. Turn on sql debugging in bat. Does the sql
statement give a response in psql/mysql??

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "securely". .. .. but you can just
edit the volume and change the pool of the volume to the different pool.

Non trivial question. I believe the size of a file is held in the file
table in the lstat column. I'm not sure how to convert that into it's
component data which I understand to include file size.

If your serious about it, you could always script your way out of it.
Set the file and job retention to the higher of the two desired values,
then conjure up an sql statment that select the jobs that you want to
have the lower retention periods and purge the records desired in a
script.

Moved a machine into a dmz behind a pix515e firewall. Created a rule to
allow the fd to connect to the sd and it seems to work, except for one
little peculiarity on a larger backup job.
On a server that backs up about 60GB, it fails at the very tail end of
the backup. The firewall log

Something that changed recently is that bat is a script that runs the
binary. The script usually wants to see the binary in a subdirectory
called .libs of the pwd of the script.
Not sure as to what the packaging solution is. All apologies.

Install locations of bat is an issue being addressed I believe. There
were inconsistencies in some of the packaging as well as the basic
install from compiled source.
As a developer I always just run from the source location. All
apologies! I think that having the bat binary read the bat.conf

"Migration is only implemented for a single Storage daemon. You cannot
read on one Storage daemon and write on another."
Is a direct quote from the docs. See link below.

My understanding, and I've been wrong before, is that deleting a volume
(which is a file) from the catalog does not delete the file from the
storage.
My recollection is that may have been one of the projects:
http://bacula.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/bacula/trunk/bacula/projects?view=m
OK, just re-read the storage= option under pool and it is a little bit
confusing to me because I always thought the storage came from the job
defaults, then the schedule resource for that run if it has an override.

Hello Ulrich
I'm just beginning to use copy jobs. Love em!
What I'm doing is having a one to one relationship between tape pools
and File pools. ie
File-MonWed <-> LTO_MonWed
File-Monthly <-> LTO_Monthly
.. ..
Then add one Copy job per pool.
Copy-MonWed
Copy-Monthly

Hello Silver
I'd like to discover what is causing this. Please turn on sql debugging
in preferences and we should be able to isolate the sql command that is
getting the list of files. The result should be an sql query that
should look alot like this:
