When I enable " Enable VSS = yes", for Server 2008 machines running the window
client (winbacula 2.4.4), I get errors in the eventlog of the client machine.
The file set in bacula-dir.conf is as follows:
FileSet {
Name = "COMPUTER Data only"
Enable VSS = yes
# IgnoreCase = yes
Include {
The firewall is turned off. I dropped back to 2.4.4 and it worked fine

The vast majority of our data backup is handled by Bacula and other backup
software putting stuff on different hard drives. We have a small amount of
data that we put on tape and take off site. I'd like to be able to have a

Y'all will laugh but I have tried and tried but I am lost on how to backup to
tape. When I run "/root/bacula/bin/btape -c bacula-sd.conf /dev/nst0", the test
runs correctly. I have tried to set up a tape job but it stops with this
message:
16-Oct 06:05 localhost-sd JobId 227: Job
GROUP_Tape_on
ic you could use Type=Tape0 ( Tape1 if you buy
another ... )
But you can run with what you've wrote.

I have a Sony SDX-400V which I think is an AIT-1 drive. I ran all the utils (I
am using Fedora F9) I could find and I think I got it working
("/root/bacula/bin/btape -c bacula-sd.conf /dev/st0" runs a test correctly). I
took a giant SWAG at how to setup the bacula-sd-conf. I have no idea if half
