It is worth noting that even Red Hat, long the champion of ext*, has
officially abandoned it and will do no further development on it. (And
frankly, it didn't come a day too soon.)
Hi Jose,
Thank you for your reply but we choose to try another solution, just a S3
with an NFS mount.
AWS VTL was too confuse to use...

I use tapes, so you should take my response with a grain of salt. Question

Hello guys:
I'm planning a Bacula deployment on AWS in the following weeks. I have
some doubts about disk performance for Disk based backups.
Based on the idea that Bacula writes data on big files (i.e. 100 GB
each volume), what technical considerations should I have for the
underlying storage de
You're right, I completely forgot about costs. Definitely, using S3
plugin will be much more cheaper than using Amazon Storage Gateway
VTL.
On my scenario, Cloud (S3) is the only place where I could save my

Thanks Radosław,
Yes, other backups were running at the time of this jobid 5738,
I have 100 devices to handle ~200 concurrent backup jobs. Looks like there was
shortage of free device for reading the previous full backup, although a device
was reserved for writing.
