You should have a storage server in each location for sure. You COULD
run a single director but it would make more sense to run a director at
each location, at least in my mind.
You'll need Bacula v7.0 or later to get this all working properly, but
what you'd do:
- Run your regular backups
I'm brand new to Bacula. Getting some good information from the list. As I've
mentioned before, I've got three offices in different locations. I'm needing
offsite storage of data as part of a disaster recovery plan. I've got a couple
of questions

My bconsole program suddenly can't connect to the director, My webacula
setup does very slowly (as in 3 minutes to load a page) give me data.
Everything was running fine when backups ran just after midnight. No
updates were installed since the backups were ran, I have restarted
services, reboot
I am getting the encryption context error on a freebsd server when trying

Thanks for the info. It looks like I have some reading to do. I need to figure
out how these different backups relate to each other. I'll do some testing
before I put this into production.

Thanks for the info. The only reason I was interested in rsync is for
simplicity. I can get rsync up and running quickly. I'm new to bacula. Lots to
learn with lots of place for mistakes to happen.
I'll check the documentation for base jobs.

We modify the Bacula source to remove this limit since we regularly run 10-14
day backups. As an archive, we do full backups of each volume annually to go to
Iron Mountain and quarterly to go to another building (data are mirrored online
as well), with volumes on the order of 50-100 TB. Splitti
Hello,
It seems that I've done something to break access to a remote SD, but
that's not my major problem here. The problem is that because access has
broken, it throws an error into bacula.log:

Hello,
(Unsure if the email I previously sent actually worked, apologies if it
did and this is a duplicate)
