You should have a storage server in each location for sure. You COULD run a single director but it would make more sense to run a director at each location, at least in my mind. You'll need Bacula v7.0 or later to get this all working properly, but what you'd do: - Run your regular backups

My bconsole program suddenly can't connect to the director, My webacula setup does very slowly (as in 3 minutes to load a page) give me data. Everything was running fine when backups ran just after midnight. No updates were installed since the backups were ran, I have restarted services, reboot

We modify the Bacula source to remove this limit since we regularly run 10-14 day backups. As an archive, we do full backups of each volume annually to go to Iron Mountain and quarterly to go to another building (data are mirrored online as well), with volumes on the order of 50-100 TB. Splitti
