So... I have a esata dock that holds 4 drives. It is attached to a sd server . I have autofs working. I configured vchanger according to 13.2 section in how-to located in the vchanger tar file, only I made it 4 virtual drives instead of 2. The question is: so my full backup is going to be bigger

Sorry, turns out there was an error in my previous suggestion and “caffeinate” was not actually started on the client. Here’s an updated (and tested) line that does keep a 10.8 or later mac awake for 3600 seconds: Client Run Before Job = "bash -c \"/usr/bin/caffeinate -i -t 3600 &> /dev/null

Hi Martin, Kern Confirmed that at least recompiling on the target machine, if not the upgrade to 5.2.13 at the same time fixed this, and I was able to restore 10TB over the weekend from backups previously indicated as faulty. It looks like the root cause was binary-incompatibility in the system
