I added the indices back and performance dramatically increased. I
assume my tables needed a repair and that that was the initial problem
(maybe caused by the upgrade I had recently done from 2.2.8 to 5.0.3).

If you have checked disk I/O, CPU, memory, network, on both the client
and the server, all seem great, both from a statistics look, showing all
running normally, with low use. Verified with read/write test on local
disks, remote through he network, using regular file copies (via SMB)
and iperf

I started out with bacula 3 or 4 months ago but as it turned out the
card I was using did not properly recognize the tape changer. The
whole thing got sidetracked for a while but now I'm back with a new
card which seems to see everything fine. It is a Sun SL24 jukebox.

hi,
i cannot find the stopmysql and startmysql scripts on debian squeeze bacula,
everything ist working fine with a 16 slot library, but i just cannot find
these scripts and donĀ“t want to reboot the server to restart mysql.
i searched in all locations i read about on the net, /etc/bacula/scrip
or can i use the debian /etc/init.d/mysql restart command?
