There's a query that comes with Bacula that does something like that, it
will return the JobID's where Bacula could find a determined filename.
Check out the "query" command. If it comes up empty, you should verify the
/etc/bacula/query.txt file (that path is when installing the Director using
rpm

It will do that when you do not limit the number of volumes in your pool.

You will have to write an SQL query that does the following:
- selects all jobs from the client that you are interested in
- filter by path where backup was stored
- generate path/filenames for all jobs (they are base64 encoded)
- with programming language filter results by *flyer*

John,
Thanks for the reply. I went throught and manually purge a lot of the jobs.
What it seemed was happening was that it was auto creating a volume before it
would recycle. I am going to try to figure out just how many volumes are
needed and then delete the rest.
Thanks again for the repl
Hello,
As some of you will know, we recently released version 5.2.7 followed
a week later by 5.2.8, and now a day later by 5.2.9. Both 5.2.7 and
5.2.8 had some minor glitches, mostly involving Sparc and platforms
other than Linux. I believe they are all resolved now.
So, we have released Bacula

Hi, we have a bacula server working but for testing purposes I want to
copy backup tapes (files on hardisk) to a new server. How can we
export the catalog and then import it to the new server?

Hello,
In looking at how to back out a bad community patch that I
put into Bacula 5.2.8, I decided to reset the repo and to prior
to that patch, because for me it was by far the simplest thing to
do.
The consequence is that for any of you who checked out or
updated the database after 5.2.8 was re
Hi all,

Hi All,
Bacula client support *Windows 2003 server enterprise* and *Windows 2008
server 64 bit enterprise*? Bacula server will install on Linux but needs to
take backup from different database application backup from different OS.
Is bacula supports to take backup and restore of the below mentione
I updated the repository to 5.2.8.
I introduced a change in the spec file that checks for the obsolete
symlinks for bacula-dir, bacula-sd (>=F16) and
libbaccats-backend-version.so (=F17) and sets the new one accordingly
so the change should not be done manually.
So even an upgrade from F16 to F17

Great! It works! All Jobs together, thanks a lot!

Hi,
a user deleted a file on a network share. There is a small chance that
it is backuped up. Alas I do not know the exact path name nor the exact
file name. I only know that it is (was) a Office document named
something like "*flyer*". Can the bconsole's restore command help me out
or should i
