Hi guys,
First of all, thanks for a top notch product. We are using bacula 5.0.0.1 @
$work, and about to really start using it to back up loads of data (over 60TB of
filesystems, with some very specific needs), and bacula has covered all the
bases. Kudos to you all!!
So, to the point :) I can't se
I thought about this reciently, after I moved my spool dir to a 1.5 GB
ramdisk, I had been using 100GB of a mirrored pair of 500GB SATA drives my
throughtput to tape went up be a little over 10Mps.
A few thoughts, see inline..

Hi All,
Director is 3.0.2, backing up a 32bit Windows Vista client running 3.0.3.
After adding onefs=no to the FileSet options in the director, I get the
error messages during the backup:
Cannot open "C:/Documents and Settings/.../":ERR=A required privilege is not
held by the client.

After some extra testing I am able to restore the encrypted backup if I
restore to a different location (i.e. C:/restore). I have also
successfully restored a single folder - Program Files (x86) - to it's
original location. I only get problems when I try a full system restore

That's maybe a stupid question, but I really wonder...
Using Disk Spooling prior to write data to tape, heads in a sequential
write order:
a) write data from backup client to disk spool directory
b) write data from spool directory to tape
Why are those tasks done sequentially?

I suppose this is true. Sorry, I can't help then.

And if any other limit would have occurred, the message wouldn't be "is

Maximum Concurrent Jobs must be set on the Director, Storage, Device,
Job, and Client. Whichever is lowest will take precedence.
Also if the second job has Priority set to a higher number, maximum
concurrent jobs will be ignored and it will wait until the first job has
completed.

which worked with the mysql configuration. I upgraded to 5.0 and it still
worked out.
Than I changed my complete environment and thought that a fresh installation
