Hello,
I have a estrange problem... when I run a backup using the run command in
bconsole I see this information in the finished log message:
Build OS: x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu debian 5.0.2
JobId: 1402
Job:smsmtm-fd.2009-10-06_16.56.26_33
So here's one for the list!
Recently, due to file storage space, management has decided that each
client (desktop machines) will have 1 full backup done once a week.
This is more for Disaster Recovery (DR) than retrieving data from a 'oh
I lost my file) client.
Here's the layout:

I forgot to mention that this is with Bacula 3.0.2.

I have an autochanger with multiple tape drives, and want Bacula to better use
all the drives. I believe I have all of the concurrency settings correct,
because I can run two jobs to two different pools at the same time and one will
run to drive 0 and one to drive 1. So far, so good.
If I run
Sorry for letting this slide for so long.
It looks like the underlying cause was that my machine DID in fact run out of
disk space at one point. This had caused several strange behaviors, one of
which (not so strange really) was my database became corrupted and mostly
unusable. Unfortunately fo
I was able to schedule a job to backup the State information (with a
bunch of OS files, 6.7GB on a new system) and I upgraded bacula to
V3.0.2 so that I could perform a VSS backup. I eventually got this
working and I have what appears to be a successful backup.
When I try to restore, I get lots

I'd like to know the recommended way to added previously used tapes back to
the Scratch Pool.
I have already purged the jobs that were on the tapes and updated the Pool
to Scratch for each tape Volume.
For the tapes that contained data, should I rewind them manually? What about
the status? Most of

What I like to do is this.
I have a file backup... using the Default pool.
Than I need to put this backup (from Default) on the tape. By using the copy
job function.
How does the Copy Job should look like?
Do I have to make changes on my Default pool? In my File Backup?
Thanks so much for your h

I just installed bacula-3.0.2 out of the sources and I'm now trying to

Your Copy Job is copying files from this Pool, that's why it doesn't
copy anything.
If you want it in
There is no Volumes in the Pool: FullBackupsVirtualPool
*list media Pool=FullBackupsVirtualPool
No results to list.
Should I try to list the Default pool ?
Thanks!

Sorry, I made a mistake, please first list the Volumes in the Pool using
list media Pool=FullBackupsVirtualPool
and then use the query to see the jobs written on those Volumes.

Hello,
Is there any way of running bscan on a remote storage daemon from within
bconsole?
On the face of it, it seems that you have to:
a) log in to a console on the remote machine
b) figure out where the config file is
c) figure out the storage device from the config file
d) figure out the catal
