Hello
I upgraded bacula from rpms and now when I try to run bat I get
/usr/sbin/bat: error: `/usr/sbin/.libs/bat' does not exist
This script is just a wrapper for bat.
See the libtool documentation for more information.
Tested this with opensuse 10.3 and opensuse 11.1 rpms

I solved exactly this issue with SSH tunnels. The description on how I
did it is in the Bacula Wiki in the howto section.

I run bacula-dir and bacula-sd in an internal network and a few hosts outside
on the Internet.
When I want to run a job for an external host, the host tells me it can
resolve the storage server. Understandable. There's no DNS that tells about
the internal hosts address.
But even if, the client wo
Hello Dan,
This is not at all surprising.
Any time one adds new features to a program having multiple components, it is
in general difficult to guarantee backwards compatibility with older
components. That said, we always try to ensure when upgrading to a new
version of Bacula that is not n
That's the behaviour I've seen when I set Maximum Concurrent Jobs = 1
under JobDefs. Then only one job with the same name can run at a time.
What I was hoping for with duplicate job control was for the subsequent
job(s) to be canceled so that they wouldn't run at all.
thanks,

To do this you must tell bacula to look for ctime chan

backup scheme:) we will backup two servers to a backup server.
I have got a few questions that I have not figured out the answer.
1.why does bacula use db as backend? why add additional this level of
Hello,
We are using Bacula Version: 2.2.7 on a Linux Host. We have been taking backup
since quite a long but today I noticed a unique problem.
1. The tape from the previous backup was stuck inside the drive and hence
further backups could not be proceeded. I tried to manually unmount the tape
Hi,
thank you for the advices. We have very similar configurations, and I'm
sure I'm not too far from the solution. I tried to use your settings in
the storage daemon config file, and the "mt" options as well, than I
didn't try so far.
But, as soon as I put those settings, I have another error
Hello List,
since upgrading one of my Directors and the connected SD to 3.0.0 last
week, i've noticed that every couple of writes to tape, the volume will
get marked in error because of "Number of Files mismatch".
The same director writing to the same SD on a disk device works without
problems, s
Hi All
If I have a file, the file size, content, and checksum does not change
from yesterday to today, _but_ the file system permissions change, does
it get flagged to be backed up ?
