I know I've asked this before -- perhaps I can get somewhere this time.
I have two catalogs defined, let's call them Catalog and Archive. I
originally defined Archive first and then Catalog (in physical order in
the file). The first night I went to

I'm attempting to get Bacula 2.4.3 working on a fresh install of
CentOS 5.2 (up to date) for evaluation. Been at it all day.
After replacing CentOS' MySQL with MySQL-Sun's official version and
installing bacula-mtx, the bacula-mysql RPM installed without any
trouble.
I thought the GUI woul

This is what I have seen. And generally I had dmesg errors when this happened.

Sounds like some kind of hardware (SCSI) problem, with the kernel driver
resetting the bus and losing the device at some point. Is your
cabling/termination ok?
Are there any error messages i

Hello bacula-users!
I am having a rather unpleasant experience... I am trying to get bacula
working with a QUANTUM DLT8000 tape drive that, besides being an old drive
model, is a brand-new device, with only some hours of uptime right now (box

I managed to fix it by recompiling the original version.

I suggest you to create a simple shell script parsing running/waiting jobs'
ids and then cancel them all one-by-one. Just pass bacula-dir commands to

Hi there,
I am a newish user of Bacula. We are running it at our school in Cape Town,
South Africa. The bacula-dir.conf file is run from an Ubuntu 8.10 Linux box and
we are backing up from Windows2003, this Ubuntu box and a few other Windows XP
