Hello,
Is that possible, using bacula, to create two distinct pools to the same
client?
This way I would have two FileSets, with their respective volumes.
A pool would be the backup of a server's fraction, and the second one of the
other fraction
i.e.FileSet1
Volumes: part1Server_Full, part1Ser

First let me say Bacula is a great tool and works very well.
My question is this: On my netapp device i have ".snapshot"
directories interspersed in the file system. I need to delete these
from my backup.
I have tried numerous things, first reading the manual but have not yet
been success

Hi all, im currently having some issues with my HP Ultrium LTO-2... It is
connected via scsi on an HP server too
Sometimes I get this error in bconsole:
01-feb 02:04 adm-sd:
adm-mysql-diario.2008-02-01_02.00.00 Error: Unable to position to end of
data on device "LTO" (/dev/nst0): ERR=dev.c:931
Hi,
Can anyone help me answering these questions?
1.Whether Bacula supports any kind of fault-tolerance. If yes, what
are the schemes?
2.Whether Bacula supports any kind of Load-balancing. If yes, please
provide details.
Thanks,

Hello again Piero,
Sorry I don't have a MySQL installation with Bacula, otherwise I could help
you solve your MySQL problem with Bacula on Leo. All I can do is say that
there is for sure hope, because I have Bacula 2.2.8 on Leopard 10.5.1 built
against Postgres running perfect so far. I am about t

Hi again!
No im not running Macports, my next step is to use that instead (with
bacula 2.2.6) but i rather get this running!
Im on the same track, something is fishy with bacula - mysql, maybe

Oops hello to everyone and especially Piero Giobbi, I must be dreaming or
having a temporary lapse of amnesia. Of course the Storage Daemon has an
Archive Device directive (it has been a while since I looked at Bacula
configuration files so I forgot about it).
So, I just added "/tmp" to the Archiv

Piero,
This is a difficult one to diagnose because it depends on how you configured
Bacula on your system with Leopard and MySQL. Moments ago, I just ran
configure, make and make install with Bacula 2.2.8 on Mac OS X Server
10.5.1(Leopard Server) and I am using PostgreSQL, not MySQL. I had no

Hi,
As a new user, I'll start by thanking Kern (see you at the UKUUG) and
everyone who's contributed to Bacula!
When the backup status is "Backup OK -- with warnings" the subject of
the report e-mail is always "Backup OK".

Hi All Bacula Gurus :-)
I'm in need of your help.
I'm running Bacula server 2.0.3 on FreeBSD 6.1 p0. Have serveral nodes
(servers & clients) that are backed up via my Bacula server.
But now when I add new nodes to backup I get some very wired problems.
I have installed Bacula Client 2.0.3 on Fr
Hi,
I update my system from 1.38.11 to version 2.2.6 / 2.2.8. My sd server is
connected via fibre channel with a tape library (HP MSL 6060) with 4 LTO-2
drives.
In version 1.38.11 i haven't any problem with the sd server and the drives.
In version 2.2.6/2.2.8, I have the following problem:
