Hey Folks:
This question pertains to Bacula's file/fileset locking mechanisms.
Imagine a data set that you've defined to be be backed up via Bacula,
across a network. The fileset is sufficiently large that it will take
several hours to properly transmit and store on the storage server.

You have to setup the D: drive as a resource location I believe.

Hello,
I'm having a hard time tracking down some issues with bacula on my Linux2.6.9k
system. I have the sense that the issue could be the result of a
misconfiguration of a wide variety of sub-systems. I've spent a lot of time
learning how to update firmware, verify driver versions and Fibr

That's a smartmon error, not a Bacula error. You might dig into the
smartmon support mailing list for ass
Hello and Good Morning,
Ok, I copied the file onto one of my backup servers. The backslash
appears fixed, according to the output of the trace file. When I run
the SD at the command line, I get the following response now
Could not find c:\\comp01-sd*.spool
And there are no errors relating to

I'm trying to restore to a windows 2000 server. Is there any way to specify
the drive d: in the Where location? Every time I try to restore it only will
allow restoring to the root on c: or it ends up in the system32 directory.

Yes I have checked the archives, but there was no solution for my
problem. The strange think is that the first job could not mount the
tape and the second could mount the same tape at the first attempt.
This is my SD Config:

I asked because I had these problems with my Exabyte Magnum 224
autoloader when I was using a bacula version that was less than

Could you post your bacula-sd.conf for the autoloader? Also, I know
this autoloader has been discuss
On a whim, I decided to stop my SQL Server running on this FD. The
backups then ran properly. After I restarted the SQL Server, the FD
continues to backup properly. It has been backing up properly for the
past two days.
I am also free of the error logs being generated by SQL Server and VSS.
Hello John,
Im using bacula-2.0.3.

Hi Wolfgang,
You should use an incremental pool with a short retention period.
