No, these most probably are threads. Your k
Hi,
As I've got a number of systems here, I thought I'd look how many processes
there are on my systems:
Ubuntu 6.06 -> 1 process
Debian 3.1 -> 2 processes
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 2.1 -> 3 processes
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 -> 3 processes
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 -> 1 process
But what I do
Hello all,
I am running fedora core 5 and after creating the recovery cd, when I go
to test it on another computer ( I do not want to test it on the actual
server that I have backed up till I know it works) I am unable to actually
logon.
After selecting the first option, which is meant to allow y
The -L equal to -m on RH 7.3
Unfortunately: ps: error: Thread display not implemented.
And I think I have three separate processes (as I have already told in
my first letter), not threads.
The output of a RHEL3/4 (I have one PID with two different LWPs):

Ok. Thank you.
So the question again.
Why does Bacula client process start only one thread on RHEL3/4 and why
does Bacula client process start three threads on RH7.3.
The servers haven't got any other high traffic.
The Bacula version is the same (1.38.6 and 1.38.10) and compiled from
the source.
Hi,
correction regarding my previous mail: recover.pl supports MySQL, too.

Hi Turbo,
don't know wether you've done it already, but have you set Tape_3 to
'Used'?
If not, give it a try!
The trick is this:
Make the tape you want bacula to use accessible by purging it and setting
it to recycle (like you've done).
Make all other tapes in the same pool, which you don't want
This started about a month ago.
I have a backup unit with an autoloader that carries 8 tapes, in 2
seperate pools. There's also a barcode reader that reads the labels on
my tape.
My problem is that, everytime the tape changer changes tapes, bacula,
for some reason, decides to relabel the new
Hi,
we are runing bacula now for one year. Current runing version is 1.38.8.
We backup a amount of around 4 TB of data and more than 15 Million files.
OK, i start to restore a job with 1,9 TB and 12 Million files. I select
the JobId's and wait for the restore command line. After 3,5 hours

I've been using Tape_5 for a couple of days now, and it got
filled so the director requests Tape_3.
Why it didn't request Tape_2 (which SHOULD have been the next
in line I don't know - maybe because it was Full and the recycle
time wasn't reached).
Now I've pruned + purged Tape_2 and set it as 'R

SQLite is only suitable for test setups.
Do yourself a big favour and move to MySQL or Postgres.

This will only get a speedup on full backups, and only if the disks are
fast enough to keep the tape drive running at full speed.
