I now vaguely remember that. Doh. I wouldn't care much, but the damn thing
wants so many BS graphics-related libraries that I have no need of
installing. I suppose I could install them and remove them, but doing
source would be easier than that.

Btape test on the autochanger generates following error:
=== Autochanger test ===

Nothing loaded in the drive. OK.

Hi,
After upgrading Bacula from 1.36.1 to 1.38.5, the mtx-changer (symlink
to chio-changer) script can not unload tape nor load another tape:
# mtx-changer /dev/ch0 unload
Storage Element is Already Full
# mtx-changer /dev/ch0 load 6 /dev/nsa0 0
chio: /dev/ch0: CHIOMOVE: No space left on de
I've noticed that one of the recurring questions, especially from new users,
is "how large" existing bacula installations are. This can encompas number
of clients being backed up, the amount of data, and how large the catalog
gets.
To try and gather up some quantitative data on this, I hacked up

Maybe this isn't much use for you, but since no one else is answering... I
think someone asked the same question a few month
I throw this up in the air for people to criticise or tell me it's not
possible or suggest improvements.
It really won't affect the vast majority of Bacula users, but for those of
us backing up Terabytes or who need to keep backups for several years, it
should provoke some discussion.

Hi,
I am using bacula-1.38.4 with a redhat el 4 based distribution. I have a
n incremental job that starts daily at 23:05 set with priority=10. I
have a verify job that starts daily at 23:05 with priority=11. My
strategy is to verify the volume against the catalog immediately after
it was written.
Hi,
I'm trying to restore an old DVD backup which is not in my db anymore, and I
get the following messages :
bscan -c /etc/bacula/bacula-sd.conf -v -V DVD1 /dev/hdc
bscan: butil.c:266 Using device: "/dev/hdc" for reading.
