Yes -- it is just textual insertion (like #include in C, except that the @
doesn't have to be at start of a line).

Hello,
I have Bacula configured on a Redhat Linux server with an SCSI attached

My questions is how can I tell what tape it is going to use next, or can
I set the order, or does it just go sequentially?

How did you do your fill tests? J
Hello,
I have a few questions whose answers I didn’t
found in the documentation. I’m sorry if they are there and I didn’t
saw them.
- Is it possible to change the director configuration
with out restarting the services? It’s annoying to have to stop long backups
to create a new job.
I know that the spool directory is safe to clear out when Bacula isn't
running, but what about the working directory?
Perhaps temporrary directory cleanouts should be added to the
startup/shutdown scripts. :)

I apologize for posting again, but just noticed that bextract has '-p' switch,
which I will try shortly and see what happens (will take a while
though :).
If you have any other suggestions (related to my previous mail), let me know.
Thanks once again.

I've started using (well, more like testing) Bacula few weeks ago.
Last night, machine where Bacula was running had a hard disk crash, and I've
lost all the bacula config files and MySQL database.
I have bacula backup file on another hard disk in the same machine, but I can't

"207 non-supported data streams"
Any idea what or where I should be looking to sort this out?

I believe there's a similar option named, ClientRunBeforeJob and
ClientRunAfterJob. It should be in the user manual.

And I still don't see the output from ./configure.
If there isn't any output configure does not actually do anything, which

I am running bacula server on Solaris 9 Sparc. I downloaded the code
from blastwave.org and it is installed in /opt/csw/...
I share out /opt/csw to all our clients.
My question is can bacula work this way. /opt/csw has both the server
and client. Will this setup present any conflicts?
Thanks

Hi
I have several Pools including those called "Daily1" (for daily
incrementals), "Weekly1" (for weekly full backups) and "Monthly1" (for
monthly full backups). I'm having a problem trying to force the use of the
Monthly1 pool for a full backup; I keep getting the Weekly1 pool instead,
like this:
earlier in the build output :
"cannot find -lstdc++"
urpmi libstdc++5-static-devel solved the problem.

My DB had those indexes already. Here is what I have ATM:

I just updated to 1.36.3 and left it running. It's immediately attempted
to start backing up the last few missed sessions and has wedged.
Did anyone come up with a solution to processes piling up and the backups
stalling or not?

Another things you want to change in a default MySQL installation
is the max size of the tables - especially if you're like me and
backup a *lot* of files then the "File" table will run into
a 2/4GB limit quite quickly...

Hi Ronan,
Did you add some indices manually to your mySQL db? Looks like the first
(concurrent) jobs run fast until the first finishes and updates the DB.
If the DB structure is still unmodified since Installation, this could be
the problem - but I'm not sure.
These changes can (should) be made
Hi,
While console ACLs seem to work somehow, I could not find a way to limit
the destination when restoring a job. Well in my example below it uses
restore-my but still I can modify restore-my to restore to any directory I
want (and thus posing a problem if the machine is shared among users).
