+1 I find myself only using the ubuntu button as well because I can get to
anything from it where as the other buttons are limited in their scope and I
need to think more about which one to use.

Overall I like 3 where all the gray icons (trash, drives, applications and
files & folders) are available when the dock is out. But I think the drives
should also be available when the dock is in like in 1.

Agreed I like seeing all windows at once. It could be really useful if they
were grouped by application as long as I don't have to select a group before
being able to see and select the window I want in that group.

I think this is the best solution I have seen. I particularly like the
application icon being transparent beneath its title. I do have two
concerns.
- What happens on small screens when the menu overlaps with the title.
- I would feel much more comfortable with title on the left hand side,

I just hope we don't loose middle click to paste the most reciently selected
text. That has always been one of my favorite and most used features in
Ubuntu.

When you have to interact close to the left edge of a window the launcher
can be accidentally activated blocking interaction on that part of the open
