I really (really) think it's a very good idea. Lot of people (geeks and
noobs) uses exclusively webmails (Gmail, Hotmail ...), it would be great to
be notified using notify OSD / indicators / launcher. I really think it's a
great idea.

I love it. I can think of quite a few people who only wish to surf the net,
this would be ideal for people like that. I also think it would be ideal for
thin client based tablets that would work in a corporate, commercial and
educational arena. In such situations it may require some form of lockdow
