You can not be serious. Im not fan of moving away from the Gnome project at
all, but sticking with compiz was one of the best descisions made in ubuntu
so far. Unity is noticeably MUCH faster even on my low-spec netbook. Mutter
uses 20% of cpu with falf the frame rate on it, while Compiz eats about

implementation the only thing i miss is remotely installing apps, It is
quite nice though.

I think with the backlight toggles mode active applications would be best
noticable with not just the backlight but also the shiny frame toggleing.
To me its still a bit visibily confusing the way it is now.

The current software center is a pain in the ass. I prefer apt-getting from
the terminal because it is much faster. I know work is in progress to get
it faster and lighter for the precise cycle. Still I wonder if anyone came
up with the idea of an online software center like the one google

In my opinion the current font size is beatuiful on an HD monitor, much
nicer than how windows or mac looks on such high resolution. But on a
traditional screen it really is a bit disturbing. For example, on my
1024x600 netbook screen I always have to scale down the fonts to 10-9px for
the desktop
